Shaping North Ayrshire process
If proper shower and changing facilities were provided I'm sure more people would be willing to leave the car at home.
Currently we are expected to share drying rooms with cleaner trollies, walk from one end of the building to the other to shower and change and all with only a handful of showers.
If the council are serious about reducing the carbon footprint then make the proper facilities available to allow staff to participate.
We must have an expanded and useful public transport network so that it becomes a more viable option for people to use it. More electric charging points and also hydrogen refill stations please as we are now seeing usable hydrogen cars. Let's preempt that with some way of actually using them! With nowhere else to voice this within the questions I would like to point out that many of the roads within our area are coastal and under threat from quickly rising sea levels. We need to ensure that no villages will be left stranded.
the council, through tracker technology, should ban the use of pool cars etc for journeys under a specific distance.
