Shaping North Ayrshire process
More facilities / amenities / social / leisure opportunities which did not involve travel. Reduced travel costs would increase disposable income, and compensate for slightly higher prices locally. Since I need to travel for so many things, it makes sense to spend money where I can get better value, to compensate for the additional cost of fuel. As there is no local filling station, travel to fill up the car costs money. By being able to stay local more often, my carbon footprint would also reduce, and that woud be of value to me. Hsving to pay additional costs for travel for almost everything you do dramatically increases the cost of living, and reduces the quality of life due to the amount of time spent travelling.
