Shaping North Ayrshire process
I have taken part in all stages of the consultation and get the impression the whole exercise was aimed at reaching a certain conclusion. This has been helped by the fact that during the pandemic nearly all the premises under discussion were closed and users did not all have the means of being involved. While I appreciate the need for the council to balance its books the needs of the community has to be of prime importance.
This consultation should never even be happening just now, buildings are closed so there is little exposure. Too many people do not know it is happening and some who do cannot access computers/internet to answer questions, maybe that is NAC'S plan?
I feel that during Pandemic is not the time to be assessing a service that is hopefully once in a life time not a plan for future changes/cuts. J think once normal service has resumed and the public have time to digest that is whe public services should be addressed.
I think the way the libraries are now suits the residents of the town and especially the older generation.
